That&#8217;s right. Because what grants entry into heaven is belief in Christ, not works. Sure, some theologians or apologists will claim otherwise, but absent any known conversion by the &#8220;Good Samaritan&#8221; and a known disavowal by Hitler and Goebbels, that&#8217;s what their religion says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That means that American Protestantism, and Christianity in general, is not a moral group; they are merely a membership group. &#8220;Deathbed conversions&#8221; means that you can be the most evil person possible for a lifetime, but if at the last moment you believe in Jesus, you will be rewarded with a blissful eternity. That is not a religion based on morality, it&#8217;s a religion based on membership.
